Members

1. Filtti organizes exhibitions which are open for all members.
2. The exhibitions are for felted works which are well designed and technically of high quality. The exhibition aims to tell the high standard of let in Finland. The exhibitions show the versatility of felt.
3. Each Filtti member has a possibility to send one felt work or a series of felt works to each exhibition. However, Filtti has set a condition that all invoiced fees must be fully paid prior the registration to the exhibition.
4. The felt work must have some connection to the theme of the exhibition and it mudt be at least partially felted/felt.

5. There is a form on Filtti webpage which you should use to register to an exhibition before the due date.

6. The registration is compulsory and binding. However, if you cancel your registration, the participation fee will be invoiced regardless.

7. All due date and shipping instructions are stated on the information sheet. We sincerely wish that these dates are respected.

8. Packing of felt works for shipping: Pay extra attention how you pack your felt works. Use wrappings so that it is easy to open, so that the felt work can be returned to you after the exhibition in the same parcel. Please note that max. weight can be 10 kgs.

Use post or freight service, which ever is easiest and take into consideration the costs. If you are shipping from non EU country, find out if Filtti has to pay any customs fees. Include a proforma invoice to the parcel. Make sure the phone number is on the address: +358 45 130 4777. Send tracking number of the shipment by email to: sirpa.mantyla@filtti.fi

10. All insurances (shipping, exhibition time) are to be covered by the felt maker herself, Filtti does not pay any.

11. Filtti will invoice the participation fee as stated on the information sheet.

12. Commission: if the gallery requires a commission of sold products, this will be informed. Filtti does not require any commission.

13. Other information needed for media releases and for exhibition catalogues:

• a photo of the felt maker, if so stated on the information sheet
• a photo of the felt product, it can be of a product not fully finished
• an artist statement (a short version, no CD) is necessary if a catalogue is made
• name of felt product, size, materials used, technique and sales price
• all the above can be send by email to sirpa.mantyla@filtti.fi
• please note that the photos must be in jpg-format
• most important: instructions how you wish your work to be hung
• for works which are hung on the wall, must have proper fastenings for rods. Do not send rod if they are long or otherwise difficult to send. If necessary Filtti will buy rods.
• if your product requires ironing or other treatment before the exhibition, let us know
• Filtti board members take care of building and dismantling of the exhibition
• kindly note that Filtti has the right to make changes on selected works if it is in the interest of the exhibition
• all felt works will be juried by an outside jury. In case your felt product will not pass the jury, it will be returned to you and the participation fee will be not invoiced.
• the felt work for each exhibition must be new, it can not have been exhibited before, nor presented in facebook, Instagram or in other media. In some case there will be an exception to this rule, this will be stated on information sheet.

14. The length of the exhibition will be stated on the information sheet. No felt product can be taken from the exhibition before the closing date.

15. When the exhibition is closed, all felt products will be returned and post or freight charges will be invoiced.

16.An invitation and a poster will be on Filtti webpage. All members are invited to the exhibition opening. Photos of the exhibition will be placed on Filtti webpage/gallery after the exhibition.
