The theme of the TEXO70 Anniversary Exhibition is COLOR.
Color shapes texture, breathes within materials, lives on constructed surfaces, and, at its deepest, resides in the dyed fiber itself. Colors carry information and messages tied to beliefs. They hold traces of lived life as well as intimations of what is to come.
Curated by Taina Myllyharju, the exhibition reflects on the meaning of color and celebrates the rich history of Finnish textile art, mirrors the present, and contemplates the future.
Filti chairman Kikka Jelisejeff will participate in the TEXO textile artists’ association’s anniversary exhibition.
